Finding Your Purpose in Life
When you are living the life in childhood, what you should do is given by the elders. So when the child grows up, he/she can continue to accept what life brings to his/her tray instead of really choosing his/her own path. Because life has always been served. They may not question if what is served is good or not either. Let’s say a young person finds himself in a pile of rude and unkind people. He may decide to become one of them without much questioning, or unfortunately he can’t get out of the situation. Of course, we can’t always get out of problematic situations. Sometimes we have to live with them, and that’s like a natural test that life gives us. These situations can strengthen us or bring us down, but whatever is the case, it is true that life has ups and downs.
To come back to the topic, people can find themselves in situations they don’t want to be in, and they can be shaped accordingly. Or they can be in a good state, which can lead them to be in a good state. In summary, it is about accepting the flow of life to shape how we will be. Yes, we find ourselves according to what life serves us. But the question is, is that really who you want to be? Or, does it even matter? Because who you want to be can change very dynamically with what you live. However, there can be a main thing that you want to be or achieve.
The more we live, the more we understand what we really want to do. Most of our ideas and desires turn out not to be what we really want to do. This can lead to unhappiness. We will probably realize what we should be doing in life at a very old age, but it may be too late.
Fortunately, figuring out what we want to do doesn’t take much time if we’re not afraid of getting tired and finding ourselves in situations we don’t want to be in. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be afraid, but you should definitely draw a line at what you’re doing, or you can find yourself in more trouble. But mathematically, the more you live, the more you understand your purpose, and the most enlightening activities are those that are exhausting.
I believe that people should really think and act consciously, rather than accepting life as it is. What we experience in life will certainly affect our perception, but it is in our control to decide how we interpret it. If you think of life as a stream of data, the mind is the mediator that processes what is, and then memory is the end point.
